What is Hair for Self-Esteem?

The Bartley Skills Hair for Self-Esteem program (H4SE) is a transformative initiative within our organization. Building on the foundation laid by the Beyond Barbering and Hairdressing programs, it takes graduates from these skill development courses and has them provide free hair services to youth in the community.

Basic grooming services like hair cuts and styling play a significant role in a person’s confidence. When we look good, we feel good, and we’re more likely to take on every day challenges with confidence. Recognizing the significance of basic grooming services for self-esteem and well-being, this program addresses a critical need. By offering complimentary hair services, H4SE aims to make grooming more accessible for youth.

Through this initiative, we not only contribute to the physical well-being of the community but also emphasize the importance of self-esteem in personal development and overall happiness.
